Each floor has a clear purpose – and together they make a house where encounter, education, advice, culture, media work and engagement come together under one roof.
The VielRespektZentrum is currently being renovated. What you see here is our current planning status for the rooms and how they will be used. Details may still change before we reopen.
The central space for encounter and events, for up to 50 people. Outside events an open meeting point: arrive, find information, wait, get into conversation.
Podcast, video, interview, live stream and media workshops. We especially support formats on diversity, democracy, participation and human rights.
For women's groups and initiatives of different backgrounds – protected and open at the same time. Not for a single group, but a place where they meet each other.
Rehearsals, singing, lessons, recordings and school projects. Focused on nurturing talent: young and so far less visible artists get space here.
A protected setting for confidential conversations – social matters, integration, education, family, work, housing, legal orientation. By prior arrangement.
Books, studies and activist voices on democracy, migration, flight and human rights. For reading and research, but also for reading circles and expert discussions.
Cooking together as a low-threshold way into encounter: intercultural cooking evenings, courses, projects with young people and women's groups. Public cooking offers follow German food hygiene law.
The engine room of the open house: counter duty, event coordination, coordination between the active groups. For those who are regularly active here and take responsibility – not an open workspace.
Individual offices, long term or for fixed periods – for associations, initiatives, non-profits, education providers and freelancers. People here shouldn't just work side by side, but together.
Request an office →Single desks, fixed or flexible – for freelancers, project staff, advisers, creatives, researchers and engaged individuals.
Request a desk →Projector, board or whiteboard, tables and chairs. By the hour, day or month, for internal and external groups. Kitchen, storage and sanitary facilities included by arrangement.
Request a seminar room →Anyone who works in the house regularly, takes responsibility and runs community-oriented activities can also use the upper-floor rooms free of charge by arrangement.
See the conditions →The multi-purpose area in the basement is planned for up to 40 people. It can only be used once all construction work, inspections and municipal approvals are complete – covering fire safety, escape routes, ventilation, safety and the permitted number of people. Until then we do not accept bookings for the basement.
Youth meet-ups, open group activities, creative workshops and leisure projects. Young people should bring their own ideas and help shape what happens.
Dance groups, cultural and contemporary formats, school projects and rehearsals for events – dance as a cultural offer that connects people.
Movement groups, health-oriented sport, yoga, gymnastics and light training formats. Which sports are possible depends on the building and insurance requirements.
Every room on the ground floor gets its own colour, derived from the colours of our logo. On floor plans, door signs, information material and here on the website it is immediately clear where you are.
The colours are more than orientation: they stand for the diversity of people, cultures and perspectives that come together here. Every room has its own identity while remaining part of one shared picture – diversity becomes visible not only in content but also in design.
Tell us about it. Free of charge for volunteer-run engagement, at fair conditions for institutions – and if you are unsure, we'll sort it out in conversation.
